Ping FM Plugin - Doesn't work - Nothing is feeding.

posted Sep 17, 2010 14:55:06 by Benson
Is anyone getting the sames issue as I'm getting? I've had Short2Ping Plugin on my system for 3 days, and I have not gotten any postings from my site to the social networks. I went into several accounts and there is nothing there. The only post that actually is showing up is from the post I actually did on the PING.FM site.

Edit one of the posts and scroll down to the custom fields section.

You should see a custom field called pingfm_error
To the right of that I am getting "Your API key has been suspended. Please contact us regarding this matter."

I got a new ping.fm API key and it didnt fix anything. I'm not sure what is going on. What I did for now is go to ping.fm and set up an rss feed from my site. At least I am getting posts submitted to ping.fm now. Problem is they only allow one rss feed. So I only have the root site feed posting.

Word of caution. I also tried the publish2ping plugin and started getting access denied errors inside wp-admin.

It looks like we are back to square one on social bookmarking.

We are not the only ones having this issue....

Looks like ping.fm may have cut everyone off.
