Ping FM & Social Bookmarking

posted Oct 02, 2010 03:23:16 by Darren Brady
Hey Guys
I have a quick question regarding setting up all of the Social Bookmarking sites through Ping?

Is it best to have all of these bookmarking sites specific to the master domain name or should they just be in our own personal name?

When it comes time to building my second, third and so on master domains with different niches is it best to create new accounts with these social bookmarking sites or can they all just go to the one account you have already set up?

I look forward to your feedback.

I was told its best to have multiple accounts in different niches. You don't want to be mixing one niche with another. I wouldn't use your own personal name.

Thanks Benson
I thought that might be the case but wasn't sure.

Today when I checked my email both blogger and Tagged had shut down my accounts as it somehow violated their terms or was deemed as spam??

Has anyone else had any of these issues and if so how did you get around them?

Well, here it goes again. Ping.Fm has suspended my API Key.
It's a pain to go and reset this each time. A real pain.
Is there anything other ways around it?

My account is not working at all. It just quit. I went and looked at the documentation for and there are rate limits.

The following are the rate limits for

All applications are subject to rate limiting. The rate limit is service-wide for the API as well as the website itself. The rate limit as of June 2008 is limiting to 3 messages sent per minute for a rolling 60 seconds. This limit is per user key, not per developer or app. We're working on real-time notifications on the API so your apps can notify users of their limit.

I am sure at times I was going way over the rate limits of 3 messages per minute when I had wprobot set to one post every 2 hours for 70 blogs.

I now have my posts set to one every 6 hours but need to figure out how to get to unblock my account.

Is anyone else having these problems?

To unlock the account is simple. Go reset your API Key.

Here is an option to the issues.

Thanks. Can you do a video on how to use this and have it setup?
I am having a hell of a time with it.

I agree. That would be great. This seems to be a very involved process, also very expensive to get very many blogs or social networks on it.
